Far Brook School students teamed up with bookBgone to donate over 500 books to Lavallette Elementary School, which was made uninhabitable by Hurricane Sandy last fall. The Lavallette school district opened a satellite school to keep its students and teachers together, but without any access to books and supplies, put out a call for assistance. When bookBgone informed Far Brook School of Lavallette’s pressing need, the families and staff of Far Brook mobilized. Over the course of one week, Far Brook gathered over 500 children’s books, which were collected by bookBgone and taken to the students of Lavallette.
