registered Nurse

Far Brook School is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2017-2018 school year. The ideal candidate will have prior school nursing experience and be familiar with school nursing policy, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required for interaction with parents, students, faculty and staff. Knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Office a plus, but will train. This is a full time position with office hours running from 7:45 AM-3:45 PM, M-F. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Attend to the immediate health needs of all students, faculty, staff and visitors.
  • Help create, communicate and facilitate all medical policies and procedures to faculty, staff and parents.
  • Oversee and facilitate school compliance with all state regulations and mandates, including student screenings, record keeping and paperwork.
  • Monitor family compliance with submissions of medical forms.
  • Order and stock necessary supplies for school related medical needs.
  • Assist with daily attendance records for students.

For the 2017-2018 school year, Far Brook School will be hiring a Teaching Fellow who is beginning his or her teaching career and who is looking for an opportunity to learn from mentor teachers and teach in a setting that provides support and an opportunity for feedback and reflection. We will select a fellow to teach in our Upper School (Grades 4-8), and the teaching position will be dependent upon the school’s needs at the time of hiring. Field Hockey Assistant Coach

Far Brook School seeks a part time Field Hockey Assistant Coach to assist with students in Grades 5-8 for Fall 2017. The assistant coach will be responsible for teaching fundamental skills, game strategies, and team concepts preparing students for athletic competition and developing an appreciation of the sport. Interested candidates should be available Monday through Thursday from 1:00-5:30 PM during the fall interscholastic season, September-November.

Substitute Teacher

Far Brook is currently accepting resumes for substitute teaching positions in grades Pre-K through Eighth for the 2017-2018 school year. We are looking for energetic individuals who work effectively as part of a team and who are passionate about teaching and children.
