Far Brook's Supportive One-on-One Approach

Beginning in the spring of Seventh Grade, Far Brook’s Placement Office offers a comprehensive program to guide families through the transition to secondary school. We partner with families at every stage — from researching and exploring options to visiting and evaluating schools and preparing for testing and interviews. Our goal is to support students and families every step of the way and, most importantly, to help select the school that will continue to nurture and develop each student. This can include independent day schools, public high schools, and boarding schools.

In addition to many one-on-one sessions with our High School Placement Advisor, we offer the following:

Choosing a School After Far Brook Part I: Information Session

High School Fair

Representatives from over 20 independent day schools and boarding schools travel to Far Brook for a High School Fair. They answer questions and provide specific information unique to their schools and student experience. Many bring Far Brook alumni who are currently attending their schools. This is a unique opportunity to interact in an intimate and familiar setting and a good opportunity for students to practice talking to admissions representatives.
