Celebrating 75 Years With "The Far, Far, Far, Brook"

A Children’s Book That Honors Our Past and Inspires Our Future

As part of our recent and historic 75th Anniversary celebration, the School unveiled its first-ever children’s book, The Far, Far, Far Brook. This limited edition, written by current parent Doak Sergent and Arts Integration Specialist Roberto Olazagasti, is a heartfelt tribute to Brad Wiley ’54 and the school's founding families. Inspired by Brad’s beloved stories and those of his classmates, the book features Rob’s whimsical illustrations, bringing the magic of Far Brook to life.

Not far from the big city, just past the South Mountain, there's a land with short hills and long valleys. Along the side of one of those hills is a cluster of little red buildings - a magical place called Far Brook School.

The image depicts a colorful, whimsical landscape with a winding river, lush green trees, and a vibrant yellow sun in the background.

All proceeds from The Far, Far, Far Brook support our tuition assistance program, helping ensure that this unique and extraordinary educational experience remains accessible to our students and their families.

We are also proud to share that this month, Matters Magazine published a feature by Tia Swanson titled  “A Children’s Book Celebrates a School, a Legend, and a Way of Being in the World.” It’s a wonderful reflection on the story behind the book and the enduring spirit of our community.

Copies of The Far, Far, Far Brook are available to purchase here.
