Sunday, February 9, 2020, 3:00 PM, Moore Hall

Musical Stories, An Afternoon of Chamber Music & Chocolates will feature performances by Far Brook’s own talented music faculty and friends, in an eclectic program ranging from the inspiring to the whimsical, the dramatic to the comical. Stories to enlighten and delight will be woven in through works by Clara Schumann, Louise Farrenc, Michael Colgrass, Tom Wiggins, Maurice Ravel, Anthony Plog, George Walker, and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Bring a neighbor, friend, or the whole family! Program is recommended for students in Grade 1 and older. A chocolate reception follows.

Special guest Terrance McKnight, celebrity radio host at WQXR, will share some musical perspectives and charm us with his narration of Alan Ridout’s musical version of the classic tale, Ferdinand the Bull.

Far Brook’s talented music faculty — Karen Delavan (piano), Paul DiDario (piano), Glen Fittin (percussion), Laura George (flute), Daryl Goldberg (cello), Doug Haislip (trumpet), Peter Ncanywa (voice), and Erasmia Voukelatos (piano) — will be joined by performers Amadi Azikiwe (viola), Claire Chan (violin), Ashley Horne (violin), and the Synchronism Percussion Quartet.
