Meet the Counselors

As the school counselors, Katelyn and Melissa’s goal is to promote the social, emotional, and educational growth of all Far Brook students. Katelyn and Melissa meet with students individually, in lunch bunches, and in class meetings to discuss how to build community, how to understand and manage emotions, and how to gain awareness of others’ feelings. The counselors work together with teachers, administration, and families to make school the best experience possible for every Far Brook student!

What are the School Counselors Up to this Fall?

Far Brook’s School Counselors have been supporting the Far Brook community through the transition into the new school year! You may have seen Katelyn and Melissa at the carpool circle welcoming our new Nursery friends to school, in the classrooms leading mindfulness activities, or on the playground building connections with students. Katelyn and Melissa have visited every classroom for SEL class meetings this fall and have begun October’s community-building lunch bunches!
