Lourdes Blanco

Lourdes Blanco joined the Far Brook community in 2008. She and her husband, Andres Lederman live in Short Hills and have two sons, Martin, who attends Marist College, and Sammy, who graduated from Far Brook in 2018, Newark Academy in June 2022, and is a freshman at Brown University. Lourdes graduated from Columbia Law School in 1997 and received a BA in economics and Hispanic Literature and Culture, with honors, from Brown University in 1991. Between Brown and Columbia, she worked at Citibank International Private Bank in New York for over two years. After graduating from law school, she first practiced as a commercial real estate attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop (formerly Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Roberts) in New York City and later at Lowenstein Sandler in Roseland, New Jersey. Lourdes left private practice in 2006 and spent the next nine years as a stay-at-home mom. She volunteered her time at Far Brook, serving as a Class Parent, Annual Fund solicitor, and Hospitality Chair, amongst many other roles, both large and small. Lourdes came out of retirement in 2015 and was hired as a contract lawyer in the real estate legal team at Verizon. She was hired permanently as in-house counsel in 2018.
