Head of School Initiatives

Current Use Financial Aid

Contributions made for Current Use Financial Aid help to meet this crucial area of need for both current and future Far Brook students. Assistance ranges from a few thousand dollars to nearly full tuition. Such a commitment makes this unique educational opportunity possible for young people while enhancing and strengthening the Far Brook experience for all students.

This initiative continues to focus on Financial Aid for both current and incoming families. Grants and gifts from the Hemera Foundation, the Marjorie Bunnell Charitable Fund, and the Founding Parents’ Scholarship (Anonymous Gift, Class of ’54), enable new and returning students to attend Far Brook who otherwise would not be able to do so. Generous support is also contributed by Trustees, current parents, and alumni families.

Faculty Endowment Fund

Created by an anonymous donor, this fund is designated for special summer faculty projects, including the research and design of special curricula, participation in travel/study programs related to the curriculum, and professional development.

Faculty Fund for Innovation

Gifts given to this newly created Current Use Fund will be available to Faculty for new and reative programming and initiatives that enhance the Far Brook curriculum. Grants will be given at the discretion of the Head of School.

Music and Instrument Fund

Gifts raised for the Far Brook Music and Instrument Fund will provide funding for the purchase and replacement of instruments, financial aid for music lessons, and special music projects. Several faculty recitals, such as the Chamber Music and Chocolate concerts, have supported this important Fund.
