Strength In Community

Far Brook’s Initiative for Students & Faculty

Far Brook is a community of shared values with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life. Strength In Community is an initiative to raise funds to support our students and faculty – the most important investment we can make. We believe that making a Far Brook education possible for the most qualified and engaged students, regardless of financial concerns, will enrich the Far Brook experience for every student. Along with our students, Far Brook’s strength lies in our faculty who are lifelong learners, dedicated to their students and their teaching.

Strength In Community Priorities and FAQs

Current Use Tuition Assistance

To generate critical funding for tuition assistance, in order to meet the needs of current and future Far Brook students.

Assistance ranges from a few thousand dollars to nearly full tuition. Such a commitment makes this unique educational opportunity possible for young people while enhancing and strengthening the Far Brook experience for all students.

Grants and gifts from the Hemera Foundation, the Marjorie Bunnell Charitable Fund, and the Founding Parents’ Scholarship (Anonymous Gift, Class of ’54), enable new and returning students to attend Far Brook who otherwise would not be able to do so. Generous support is also contributed by Trustees, current parents, and alumni families.

Scholarship Endowment
To increase Far Brook’s Scholarship Endowment for generations of students to come.
Faculty Fund for Innovation
To support faculty in creating new and innovative programming that enhances the Far Brook curriculum.

Grants will be given at the discretion of the Head of School.

Faculty Endowment
To support professional development for faculty.

Projects completed over the summer could include the research and design of special curricula, participation in travel/study programs related to the curriculum, and professional development. This endowment was created by an anonymous donor.
