Far Brook inspires children to discover what’s possible within themselves and the world around them. Our strong sense of community inspires and encourages us in all aspects of the School. This is clearly evident when our community comes together to support The Far Brook Fund. We are a hands-on, all-in community. We believe that active participation in all things inspires us to find out what we are capable of.

Year in and year out, our generous community of current parents, alumni, alumni parents, Trustees, faculty and administration, and friends participate in The Far Brook Fund, enabling the School to support its talented and diverse student body, preparing them to live lives of purpose and to make a difference in the world.

How It's Used

Far Brook, like other independent schools, must raise funds every year to help meet operating costs, since tuition alone never covers the full cost of an independent school education. Through this support, Far Brook is
able to:

  • Attract and retain the most talented faculty
  • Provide professional development opportunities
  • Integrate new technologies into our classrooms
  • Offer financial aid to new and existing families
  • Enhance art, music, and athletics programs

Each year, The Far Brook Fund provides approximately 6-7% of Far Brook's operating budget. That’s money that will be spent this year, for the students who are here now, not for future needs. All members of the
Far Brook School community – present and past – are encouraged to give their "best gift" to The Far Brook Fund each year.
