Far Brook News
In Morning Meeting on October 27, Far Brook's Eighth Grade presented The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg, an adaptation by James Glossman of Mark Twain's short story of the same name. The action is set at the end of the nineteenth century in a town known - up to this point - for its honesty and virtue. It turns out that this shining reputation has been built on a hollow center, leading the audience to discover if the town members are really honest or if the upright Hadleyburg community is not what it seems.
The play is an integral part of the Eighth Grade's study of American history and literature.
