Forest School

Grades N4-2

Forest School is a child-centered educational journey that immerses campers in the beauty of the natural world. Through exploration, purposeful play, and hands-on outdoor activities, children develop a deep and lasting connection to nature. This program is designed to foster curiosity, independence, and creativity while building essential life skills. By navigating the outdoor environment, campers grow in confidence and resilience, cultivating a sense of environmental stewardship and a lifelong appreciation for the great outdoors.

LEGO Education: Great Adventures 

Grades K-2

Campers dive into hands-on LEGO projects exploring exciting themes like Treehouse Camp, Underwater Quest, and Boat Trip. They learn to build, problem-solve, and collaborate while developing computational thinking skills, including sequencing, breaking down problems, and understanding cause-and-effect. Campers also explore basic coding concepts like loops, testing, and debugging. As they work together to help the main characters in each adventure, they practice communication and teamwork, making this program ideal for young minds eager to combine creativity and logic.

Culinary Arts: Let's Get Cookin' Jr 

Grades 1-3

Campers dive into a hands-on culinary adventure, mastering the art of making fun and flavorful recipes—from flipping golden pancakes to preparing savory dishes and delicious sweet treats. As they navigate the kitchen, young chefs build essential culinary skills, practice teamwork, and spark their creativity through food presentation and flavor exploration. This program celebrates the joy of preparing and sharing meals, providing the perfect environment for budding chefs to gain confidence and discover the exciting world of cooking!

Mouse Town: A Tiny World of Imagination

Grades 2-6

Inspired by Mouse Town, campers design and build their own miniature town using recycled materials. They’ll create buildings, streets, and landscapes, collaborate to bring their community to life, and take home a tiny stuffed mouse to celebrate their imaginative journey.

Woodshop: Build Your Own Mini Golf Course

Grades 2-6

Campers become junior architects and builders in this hands-on woodshop adventure! Over the course of the week, they’ll design and construct their very own mini golf course using real tools and materials. From ramps and tunnels to creative obstacles, every camper will learn problem-solving, measuring, and building skills while bringing their imaginative course to life. At the end of the week, campers can test out their holes, share their creations with friends, and celebrate their craftsmanship in a fun, hands-on way!

Mentor Program

Grades 6-8
SAFB Staff

The Mentor Program is centered on leadership development, skill-building, and community engagement. Campers have the opportunity to grow as role models for younger campers while gaining important life skills that serve them in middle and high school and beyond. This program blends structured activities with hands-on leadership, encouraging personal reflection, self-expression, and character growth. Throughout the week, students collaborate, share knowledge, and discover their own unique leadership style within our camp community.

Young Leaders Program

Grades 9-10

Designed for 9th and 10th graders, this program helps students develop leadership skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact in their communities. Campers engage in team-building activities, workshops on communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, and leadership challenges that encourage personal growth. Perfect for students eager to prepare for future leadership roles and connect with like-minded peers in a supportive environment.
