2. Submit an Application

Click here to begin your application.

Far Brook’s cutoff date is September 1 of the year the child would be attending. By that date, applicants for Nursery 3s must be 3, applicants for Nursery 4s must be 4, and Kindergarten applicants must be 5. Nursery students must be toilet trained when they begin school.

The admissions application deadline for the 2024-2025 school year is Friday, December 8, 2023. Applications will be accepted after that date on a rolling basis if space is available.

The $100 application fee is waived if the application is submitted by November 10, 2023.

Application fee discounts are available after November 10th for families who qualify. Please contact Emi Ithen, Director of Enrollment Management to request a fee discount.

The tuition assistance application deadline for the 2024-2025 school year is January 26, 2024. The application for tuition assistance can be accessed through the admissions application checklist in your parent portal or by clicking here.

3. Submit Teacher Recommendations and School Records

Parents must send Far Brook’s teacher recommendation and transcript request forms through the application portal after their admissions application has been submitted. These are required for all grades with the exception of Nursery 3 or Nursery 4 applicants who have not yet attended school or daycare.

Applicants for Nursery 3s through Grade 1 submit one recommendation; applicants for Grades 2-7 submit two recommendations. Applicants for Grades 2-7 also submit transcripts from their current school.

All required supporting documents (teacher recommendations, transcripts) must be submitted by January 19, 2024.

4. Schedule Applicant's In-person Visit

All students visit Far Brook as part of the admissions process either for a playgroup with other applicants (Grades N3, N4, K), a group visit with other applicants (Grades 1, 2, 3), or a classroom visit at Far Brook for the day (Grades 4-7). All visits can be scheduled through the parent portal once you have submitted your child’s application.

5. Schedule Applicant's Virtual Testing

Far Brook does individual, virtual assessments for applicants to Kindergarten through Grade 7. These individual assessments range in duration from 30-45 minutes (Grades K, 1) to 30-60 minutes (Grades 2-7). Appointments are available through the checklist in your parent portal.

Applicants for Grades 5, 6, and 7 may submit results from the SSAT or CTP IV, if taken within the last year, but this is not a requirement.

6. Schedule a Parent Meeting

You will sign up for a 30-minute virtual parent meeting through the checklist in the parent portal. This is another opportunity for us to get to know your family and for you to get to know us!

7. Notification of Admissions Decision - First Week of March 2024

Families who have completed their applications by the deadlines will be notified of admissions decisions via email the first week of March 2024.
