Nursery 4s have been exploring bubbles in the science lab! After discussing the role of soap in our daily lives, students tested ways to make bubbles using several types of soap and a variety of tools including their hands, spoons, cups, and sponges. Through open and guided experimentation, the children made several important discoveries – bubbles are filled with air; they reflect light and create rainbows; mixing and pouring creates more bubbles and, most importantly – a soapy finger can slide right through a bubble without popping it!
